Due to the harsh weather conditions and bad roads, many expectant mothers have been reluctant to seek health and nutrition services from Kaborogota Health Unit.
The officials were arrested on orders of Joveline Kaliisa the Deputy National Coordinator of PDM after receiving complaints from some SACCO members who were asked to pay 70,000- 150,000 Shillings for registration and membership into the SACCO.
Three of the dead are Hebert Byamukama, a resident of Kyaduri Kyenjojo District, Consolata Katusabe from the same address, and another only identified as Agondeze. Police are yet to establish the identities of other male victims.
The issue arises from 2005 when Jotham Bagyenda claimed to have bought Kyegegwa Playground from Kyegegwa Sub County at 10 Million Shillings. The Sub County then was still under Kyenjojo district.

In 2014, the area was curved out of Hapunyo Sub County, following a resolution by the district council. Councilors who pushed for the creation of the administrative unit argued that the split would take services closer to the people.
Francis Mugisa, a resident of Mpara Sub County says that the elected leaders promised to lobby the central government to improve the roads in the districts, but the roads remain in a poor state to date. He adds that residents face difficulty to access health facilities, markets and schools.
George Kalega, the speaker Kyegegwa District Council says that following the unanimous resolution, he will write to the President and Minister of local government about the position of the council.
Last year, while visiting Kyaka County in Kyegegwa district, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukiidi IV asked the district authorities to vacate the building and hand it over to the kingdom county chief.
Kyegegwa district is on the spot for levying water fees on communities in rural areas. In February, the district council passed a resolution to have all rural communities pay money to access water from water sources that were constructed by the district water department.
