A casual labourer in Jinja City who went missing has been found dead.  35-year-old, Amir Musobya, an employee of Abbysinia Group of Industries Limited, went missing last on November 19th.

Musobya's body was retrieved from the factory's raw material production house.    The factory managers say that one of the employees who had gone to clear the pit noticed a helmet and alerted his superiors, who discovered Musobya's body.  They later informed the police, who retrieved the body from the pit.

One of the employees who spoke on condition of anonymity says that management of the factory attempted to conceal Musobya's disappearance, but his colleagues alerted the relatives.

The area supervisor, Charles Lukungu says that Musobya might have slid into the pit, and died. However, this is disputed by his family members who accuse the factory owners of concealing the exact cause of his death.

Musobya's elder brother Ibrahim Muwadda, says that the deceased went missing a week ago, but his employers never bothered to inform them.

Ashraf Mulondo another relative says that Musobya registered his next of kin, but none of them was informed about his disappearance, which raises suspicion. Mulondo wants police to expedite inquiries.

James Mubi, the Kiira Regional Police Spokesperson, said that the deceased's body had physical injuries, but Jinja Regional Referral Hospital is yet to release the postmortem report.
