Two more people have succumbed to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing to eleven the total number of deaths in Uganda. 

A statement by the Health Ministry shows that both deceased’s are from Kampala Metropolitan Area. 

They include a 60-year-old male Ugandan of Indian origin who died at International Hospital in Kampala. 

The other is a 55- year-old male native Ugandan who died at Mulago National Referral hospital. 

The statement also shows that 21 of the 4,108 samples tested on Wednesday turned positive. 

Eight of the samples were taken from truck drivers who arrived from Kenya via Malaba border. 

Three are contacts to previously confirmed cases in Kampala Metropolitan area, one a returnee from South Sudan, while the remaining are alerts from the community. 

Cumulatively, Uganda has confirmed 1,353 cases with 1,141 recoveries.
