Residents of Omoladyang Parish in Bala Sub County, Kole District, have teamed up with those from Inomo Town Council in Kwania District to repair the impassable road connecting Ogobi to Omoladyang Parish via Amambale Primary School Road.

On Monday, residents from the three villages of Abwoc B, Akolomomtii, and Bardek Cells in Inomo Town Council began the manual repair of the 4.5-kilometer road, starting from the deteriorated "Odado" swamp. They used spades, pangas, and hoes to carry out the work.

The following day, over 100 residents from Omoladyang Parish in Bala Sub County joined their counterparts from Inomo Town Council to continue the road repair efforts. The self-help project was initiated by former Apac District Works Secretary Jimmy Emmanuel Okello Ecun, in collaboration with Dorcus Acam, Inomo Town Council LCV Councilor, and Bala Sub County LCIII Chairman Sam Elyak.

The initiative aims to improve road connectivity and boost economic growth. Our reporter, Solomon Okabo, captured the essence of this community-led road repair initiative through a photo story.
