Aryampa has been in custody at Nakaloke Central Police Station since Wednesday when he was arrested. He has since been charged with defilement contrary to Section 129 (1) of the penal code.
Kutosi stated that the building was demolished because it had become a nuisance within the town. He mentioned that this building is not the only one slated for demolition, as the council is still in court seeking demolition orders for other condemned buildings.

Speaking at an Open Court Day at the Mbale High Court on Wednesday, the Principle Judge Dr. Flavian Zeija said that the judiciary is ready to establish a regional court of appeal for the Eastern part of the country but they are still looking for land.
