40-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Iganga lodge

Yoweri Saire, the lodge proprietor says that Kalinaki is a frequent client, well known to his employees.
Police in Busoga East are investigating circumstances under which a 40-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging inside a lodge, in Kiwanyi Village, Iganga District.  The deceased has been identified as Zadoki Kalinaki. 

Yoweri Saire, the lodge proprietor says that Kalinaki is a frequent client, well known to his employees.

Yoweri Mugo, the deceased’s brother says that they agreed to spend a night at the lodge after they retired late from the evening markets.

According to Mugo, they prayed together at about 5:00 am, and the deceased returned to his room and locked himself.

However, Mugo became suspicious after he failed to respond to his calls prompting them to break into his room where he was found hanging on a rope.

Juma Musisi, the LCI Chairperson says that they alerted police authorities who cordoned off the scene of the crime, opened the door and retrieved Kalinaki’s body.

Busoga East Police Spokesperson, Diana Nandawula says that they are yet to ascertain whether there was involvement of other parties involved in Kalinaki's death.

Meanwhile, the Police in Busoga North are investigating the death of 15- year-old girl, Sarah Nakisige.  Nakisige, a resident of Bugaga village, in Kamuli district, was found dead in a maize garden in Bulondo zone. 

Nakisige went missing from her parents' home last month and they mounted a search for her in vain.

Amis Kazungu, the deceased’s father asked the police to conclusively investigate the matter.
