60 Kole Youth Groups Receive Saving Boxes

Each of the sub counties received 15 saving boxes for distribution to youth groups in their area. Innocent Omogo, the In Charge of NCBA CLUSA Uganda in Kole District, says the saving boxes will help the members to keep their savings safely.
Sixty youths groups in Kole District have received saving boxes from the National Cooperation Business Association-NCBA CLUSA Uganda, a nongovernmental organisation working towards uplifting the living standard of youths in four districts.

The others are Dokolo, Masindi and Kiryandongo districts. The saving boxes are meant to support Village Saving and Loan Associations. The beneficiary groups from Kole district are drawn from Ayer, Bala, Alito and Akalo sub counties. 

Each of the sub counties received 15 saving boxes for distribution to youth groups in their area. Innocent Omogo, the In Charge of NCBA CLUSA Uganda in Kole District, says the saving boxes will help the members to keep their savings safely. 

He says the beneficiary groups will also be supported with different enterprises each of them selected earlier on. According to Omongo, the project targets to empower youth between 15-24 years of age.

NCBA CLUSA is the oldest not for profit cooperative Development and Trade Association in the United States founded in 1916. In Uganda, NCBA CLUSA started operating in 2003 as a USAID contractor under the Agricultural Productivity and Enhancement Project-APEP.
