Aduku SS Old Students Launch Fundraising Drive to Revamp School

Dubbed “CEMENT COLLECTION DRIVE @30K EVERY BAG OF CEMENT COUNTS”, the drive is aimed at soliciting financial support from all Old Boys-OBs, Old Girls-OBs and well-wishers to revamp the school.

The former students of Aduku SS under their umbrella of Aduku Secondary School Old Student’s Association (ASSOSA) have launched a fundraising drive to rehabilitate the dilapidated school structures.    

Dubbed “CEMENT COLLECTION DRIVE @30K EVERY BAG OF CEMENT COUNTS”, the drive is aimed at soliciting financial support from all Old Boys-OBs, Old Girls-OBs and well-wishers to revamp the school.

Dr. Emmanuel Okello, the Chairperson of Aduku secondary school old student’s Association, says that their plan is to raise Shillings 700 million to rehabilitate school Laboratory, Library and dormitories to improve the performance of the school.

Zechonia Azzo Odama, the head teacher of Aduku secondary school has welcomed the development with excitements. He believes constructing a science Laboratory will go a long way to improve science performance in the school.

Established in 1967 as a junior school under the foundation of Anglican Church, government took over Aduku SS in 1976. 

The school that was among the top performers in the country, has for the last 15-years failed to registered a single first grade.
