Former Kampala Mayor Al-Haj Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala has been laid
to rest at his ancestral home in Kisaasi
At 3:00 pm, Ssebaggala’s body was led to the graveyard and buried next
to his late father Sharif Al-Hajj Shaban Ssebaggala.
Before the burial, several leaders both religious and political joined his
children and other relatives to eulogize the deceased.
The children appealed to whoever their father wronged before his
death to pardon him so that Allah may receive him in heaven.

His heir Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala narrated some of Ssebaggala’s last wishes
before he died.
Nasser said that while on the dying bed, Ssebaggala had hope that
he will recover and take part in the 2021 elections. He says that his father
was confident that he will emerge winner of the Kampala City Mayoral race.

Among the mourners was deputy Buganda Prime Minister Twaha Kawaase
who praised the deceased for having been an inspiration to the young people.

Party- NUP, President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu noted that Ssebaggala inspired many young people to become good leaders including himself.

Last month, Ssebaggala sought the endorsement of the People
Power pressure group to contest for the position of Kampala Lord Mayor, for yet
another turn.
In a message read by Al-Haj Kirunda Kiveijinja, the Second Deputy Prime Minister, President Museveni praised the
deceased for living a great life of an exemplary leader and entrepreneur.

Sebaggala died on Saturday, September 26th
at International Hospital Kampala. He was 72
years old.
