Archbishop Ntagali appoints His New Chaplain

Ntagali said he chose Origye after careful and spiritual consideration. He asked Christians to support Odongo and Origye who are now headed for new tasks.

The Church of Uganda Archbishop, Stanley Ntagali has appointed, Rev Stanley Origye as his new chaplain. 

He replaces Rev. Kosea Odongo who was appointed Bishop of Soroti Dioceses in February this year.

 

Ntagali said he chose Origye after careful and spiritual consideration. He asked Christians to support Odongo and Origye who are now headed for new tasks.  

“I congratulate Rev. Odongo who is Soroti Dioceses bishop elect. Rev Odongo has been my chaplain. After careful and prayerful consideration, I have appointed Rev Stanley Origye as my new chaplain,” Ntagali said.

Ntagali also announced that Rev, Odongo will be installed as Soroti Bishop on June 16 and asked Christians to pray for him as he is headed for a huge task. 

“On June 16, all roads will lead to Soroti for the consecration of Rev Odongo as sixth Soroti Bishop. We should pray for him and other church leaders,” Ntagali said.

Odongo will be consecrated at St Peter’s Cathedral in Soroti Dioceses to succeed Ntagali who has been acting Bishop since Rt. Rev George William Erwau retired in July 2018.
