Leaders in Arua City have urged local contractors to consider joint ventures when implementing projects to enhance the quality of work and foster growth within the industry.

This appeal comes as the city plans to award several contracts for construction works in key sectors, including schools and health centers, with a strong emphasis on ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Arua Resident City Commissioner, Salim Kumakech, encouraged contractors to collaborate on large-scale projects to build their capacity and deliver exceptional results.

A joint venture, he explained, involves an arrangement between two or more parties who work together on a project through a temporary agreement.

David Kyasanku, Arua City Clerk, highlighted that the city is expecting numerous high-volume projects that may require joint ventures for effective execution and superior quality.

City Mayor Wadri Sam Nyakua stressed the importance of quality work in all projects awarded by the city to contractors across various sectors.

Arua City Council is anticipating more development projects aimed at improving infrastructure in education, health, and roads. These initiatives will be funded by KFW, ACAV, and the central government.
