The coronation anniversary scientific event which president Yoweri Museveni is expected to grace as the chief guest will be held at the kingdom’s palace in Bugembe ward of Jinja city under tight observance of the covid19 standard operating procedures.
Busoga premier Joseph Muvawala, who is also the
National Planning Authority-NPA executive director, on Monday rallied members within
the 11 chiefdoms of Busoga to embrace the Busoga kingdom institution as a
driver of unity and development within the sub region.
Addressing journalists ahead of the coronation
anniversary of His royal highness, Gabula Nadiope IV slated for 13th September, Muvawala argued that if subjects boldly support the activities set out
by the kingdom, it will not only market the kingdom nationwide but, will also foster
unity among the people from different chiefdoms within the sub region.

players in the sub region have made it a habit to shun kingdom related

sovereignty of the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Busoga kingdom’s foreign affairs minister, Joan
Machola stresses that dignitaries from the neighboring kingdoms will not
physically attend the function due to Covid-19 related restrictions. However, the
event will be streamed live on both zoom and other social media platforms with
free access for all interested parties.
