Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate, Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye accuses the National Resistance Movement government for fueling election.

Besigye cites the recent NRM primaries, in which clashes were reported between supporters of various aspirants.

While campaigning in Buhinga playground in Fort Portal town Thursday evening, Besigye says the examples shown by the leading party in the country informs what happens in the general election.

Last weekend, supporters of President Yoweri Museveni and those of former Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi clashed in Ntungamo district, leaving some injured.

He told supporters that despite the threat by Dr. Kiggundu to stop his defiance campaign, he will continue to rally Ugandans to use defiance to achieve a peaceful regime change.

Dr. Kiggundu on Thursday said he would not hesitate to allow the army to stop Dr. Besigye\'s defiance campaign.

Besigye was accompanied by Forum for Democratic Change party president, Rtd Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu, who also faulted the current government for failure to deliver social services.
