Bukomansimbi Man on the Run for Stabbing Wife

Pasikaziya Nayiga was rushed to Villa Maria hospital in critical condition after her husband, Isaac Mwanje, hit her with a hand hoe, before inflicting deep cuts on her head, neck and the back.

Police in Bukomansimbi District are hunting for a 54 –year- old man for stabbing his wife during a brawl.

Pasikaziya Nayiga was rushed to Villa Maria hospital in critical condition after her husband, Isaac Mwanje, hit her with a hand hoe, before inflicting deep cuts on her head, neck and the back.

The incident occurred at Kiteredde village, at Bigasa Sub County in Bukomansimbi district on Wednesday.

It all started when Nayiga opposed the decision by her husband, Mwanje, to sell her ground nuts. This angered Mwanje who grabbed a hoe and hit Nayiga on the head.

Peter Mukasa a neighbour to the family says that Nayiga has always complained about the conduct of Mwanje who has been selling Nayiga's produce without her consent.

Mukasa says that they were attracted by alarms made by Nayiga, They found her lying unconscious in a pool of blood.

Bigasa sub-county chairperson, Joseph Kakooza says that Mwanje fled the area shortly after the incident.

Cue out: "....they don't allow wives to work"

The Southern Regional police commander, Lameck Kigozi, says that police has started a hunt for Mwanje.
