BUL FC is poised to maintain its position at the top of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) table throughout the weekend following a convincing 2-0 victory over Express FC during their Saturday clash at the Njeru-based FUFA Technical Center.

The two goals for BUL were netted by Ibrahim Orit in the 18th and 75th minutes respectively, elevating his team to the summit of the table. Presently, BUL leads with 46 points, closely trailed by Vipers SC with 45 points, while Kitara FC occupies the third position with 44 points.

BUL's head coach, Abbey Kikomeko, emphasizes the competitiveness of the league, acknowledging five strong contenders vying for the title. Nevertheless, Kikomeko asserts their unwavering commitment to clinching the championship despite the challenges they may encounter.

Regarding Vipers SC's sole focus on the UPL title after being eliminated from the Uganda Cup, Kikomeko underscores BUL's ambition for a double title triumph without compromising their efforts. He emphasizes that achieving this feat requires dedicated efforts from the players, who continuously refine their skills to outperform their adversaries.

On the other hand, Express' head coach, Baker Mbowa, acknowledges his team's missed opportunities during the match but remains optimistic about their performance in the upcoming league fixtures to conclude the season on a high note.
