Outgoing student leaders of Bulucheke Secondary School in Bududa district have handed over the students' power to the administration.

The school administration together with students organized a handover and farewell party as well in a bid to have a smooth transfer of power and wish themselves farewell.

This is because the school had not conducted elections for new leadership at the time when the Covid-19 pandemic happened.   In March 2020 president Museveni ordered closure of schools and at the same time suspended religious gatherings across the country.

In October last year, president Museveni allowed the reopening of schools for only finalist classes of P7, S4, S6 and finalists at tertiary institutions and universities.

Leaders like Victory Kakala the head boy, Faith Wetsetse the head girl, Beatrice Katisi the Speaker and Ben Wakwale the UNSA Chairperson among others said they were supposed to have retained power until they elect new leadership in the school, but because they have to proceed to the next level, that it was thought wise for them hand over power and prepare for other things since nobody is born with power".
