Bundibugyo district has run out of personal protective equipment-PPE for health workers at the Covid-19 treatment unit.

Bundibugyo main hospital is the major facility in the district where covid-19 cases are being managed before being transferred to the Regional Referral Hospital in Fort Portal.

Dr Amon Bwambale, the Acting Medical Superintendent and chairperson case management committee says that the facility has only 10 N95 masks left. He adds that health workers are improvising with the surgical masks which put the life of health workers at risk.

Bwambale appealed to organizations and the government to come to their rescue before the cases escalate.
