Busoga Kingdom to Eulogise Abel Dhaira

The former Uganda cranes goal keeper succumbed to abdominal cancer in Iceland on Easter Sunday. Mutyabule says during the special Lukiiko session, they will remember Dhaira for his virtues of wisdom, cool temperament and humility.
Joseph Wanume Mutyabule, the speaker of Busoga Kingdom Lukiiko has set April 2, 2016 to honor the late Abel Dhaira for his contribution to football in East Africa. According to Mutyabule's contribution to football at his tender age, must be recognized.

The former Uganda cranes goal keeper succumbed to abdominal cancer in Iceland on Easter Sunday. Mutyabule says during the special Lukiiko session, they will remember Dhaira for his virtues of wisdom, cool temperament and humility.

At 28 years of age, Abel Dhaira played for Bombo FC in 2004, Mbale Industrial area FC in 2005. He was signed by Express FC in 2006 before moving to URA FC in 2008. He later played for Simba FC in Tanzania.

He won three CECAFA trophies with Uganda and two cups in the domestic league in Uganda. The late Dhaira is the son of former Uganda Cranes goal keeper Bright Dhaira who shined in the early 1990's.

Arrangements are underway to fly his body back to Uganda for burial in Bufulubi village Mayuge district.
