Busoga United FC is struggling to keep its momentum in Uganda
premier league favourites after losing 3-1 to BUL FC during their home game
played at the Njeru based FUFA technical center on Tuesday evening.
BUL's Joseph Ssemujju managed a "hat-trick" scoring three goals in
the 44th, 64th and 71st minutes respectively. This earned him the man of the match title. Busoga
United's Anthony Mayanja missed a penalty spot but Joram Kirya earned his side
a consolation goal in the 90th minute of the game.
Last week, Busoga United lost 3-0 to newly-promoted UPDF FC. The club's
assistant head coach, Hassan Zungu told journalists that there is room for
"We lost 3-0 last week but our side has managed to at least
score a goal in today's match, therefore, we have resolved to work on these few
mistakes and target better results in the course of the season," he said.
BUL FC's assistant coach, Dan Mubiru hailed his side for the consistency
exhibited in the first two games of the season, arguing that they won decisively
after their two all draw in their first game against SC Villa on Friday last
