At least 70 suspected thugs were picked up during the just concluded Agriculture and Trade show in Jinja district. The suspects are wanted for stealing property and money from exhibitors and show goers at Jinja show ground.
They are locked up at Jinja Central police station as they wait for screening this Monday. There was chaos during the operation to nab the suspects on Saturday.

The thugs assaulted Jimmy Musonge, one of the exhibitors, on the head and ran off with his money as he lay unconscious.
Eyewitnesses, who were exhibiting tree seedlings next to Musonge, say a group of about 30 men donning black t-shirts stormed their stalls and started assaulting whoever crossed their path.
