The
consecration and installation of the bishop-elect for Nebbi Catholic Diocese, Constantine Rupiny, has
been scheduled for February 22nd.
“Am glad to
announce to you that our bishop-elect MSGR Constantine Rupiny has now fixed a
date for his concentration and installation namely: Saturday 22nd
February 2025, and thereafter to the thanksgiving mass, the following day
Sunday, the 23rd February, which is also our Diocesan Day”. the
statement reads in part signed by Rev. Fr. Robert Lukwiya Ochola MCCJ, Chancellor, Nebbi Catholic Diocese.

Born on 10
November 1974 in Parombo, Nebbi Diocese, Rev. Fr. Rupiny was ordained a priest
on 28 August 2004.
He holds
advanced degrees, including a Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology from Cardinal
Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Poland.
Over his
career, he has served as Parish Priest, Formator, Professor, Vice President of
the Presbyteral Council, and Vice-Rector, among other roles.
Since
September 2023, he has been the Rector of Uganda Martyrs’ National Major
Seminary.
