It is alleged that Muliika and others still at large in November killed Denis Kivumbi who they suspected to have broken into a shop and stole a flat television screen and some other valuables.
The Magistrate's Court in Entebbe has remanded the youth leader for
Nkumba Kisembi LC I on charges of murder.
Samule Muliika was remanded on Friday by Stella Okwoing Paculal.
It is alleged that Muliika and others still at large in November killed Denis Kivumbi who they suspected to have broken into a shop and stole a flat television screen and some other valuables.
Kivumbi, 36 was reportedly hacked after being found near the shop that was broken into. He was reportedly well known in the locality as a mental patient.
Paculal did not allow Muliika to take the plea and remanded him until January 16th.
Muliika when arrested last week, reportedly confessed to slapping the deceased and handing him over to another suspect Abdul Nsanje who owned a vehicle, to
take him to Kasenyi police post.
It is alleged that Njsanje
drove off shortly and without reaching police returned the victim who he
surrendered to a mob of bodaboda riders before Nsanje finally hammered nails
into his head.
