Bigirwa handed over the donation to Vicente Ojera, the Officer in Charge of Kamuli Prisons on Thursday morning at the prisons.
Kamuli Prisons has received fumigation chemicals courtesy of Moses Bigirwa, a Democratic Party activist and former remand inmate at the facility.

The donation worth unspecified amount of money included dozens of packets of insecticides, spray pumps and face masks among others.

Bigirwa handed over the donation to Vicente Ojera, the Officer in Charge of Kamuli Prisons on Thursday morning at the prisons.

After handing over the donation, Bigirwa told journalists that he was beaten by bedbugs, fleas and ticks when he was locked up at the prisons last month.

According to Bigirwa, he promised to buy fumigation chemicals to kill the parasites and help several inmates.

Prior to visiting Kamuli prison, Bigirwa sought permission from the Kamuli District Police Commander, Moses Ocheinge to spray the cells at the Central Police Station but was turned away.
