Four People Perish in Kagadi Fatal Crash

Four people have perished in a major accident along Kagadi-Hoima road in Kagadi district.   

The crash occurred around 9pm on Sunday at Rwengeye hill in Mabaale sub-county of Kagadi district.  According to police, a tricycle (known as Tuk tuk) Reg. No. UEM 883 Z loaded with meat and cabbage overturned several times when the driver lost control, killing for people and injuring one person.   

The deceased are; Karuhanga Benon, 30yrs, one Fred, 22yrs, Sabiiti Walken, 23yrs and Man Brian, 18yrs.  All were residents from Kakoga, Kisuula, Bwikara sub county in Kagadi disrtict. 

The Injured is Aramanzani Kasumba, 17yrs but the Driver is still at large.   

As police inquiry proceeds, the Kagadi district police commander, Moses Muzima Kiconco suspects that reckless driving, and overloading contributed to the crash.

Muzima notices that the tuk tuk was carrying people instead of carrying goods alone.   He condemned the vice, saying the tricycle drivers abusing their use shall be penalized once arrested.
