Dr. Albrecht Conze, the German Ambassador to Uganda has asked Ugandans to reduce their rate of child birth.
He made the call while opening the offices ‘Civil Society in Uganda Support Programme-CUSP, which seeks to strengthen governance and civil society in Eastern Uganda in Wanale Division in Mbale Municipality on Wednesday.
The project, worth Shillings 128 billion, is co-funded by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany. According to Dr. Conze, many Ugandans especially in rural areas believe that having many children is prestigious in the community.
