Government has suspended execution of some key projects such as construction of schools, health centers and roads among others to buy food for people in hunger stricken areas.

President, Yoweri Museveni disclosed this while delivering 1,200 and 600 sacks of posho and beans respectively to the people of Kaliro and Namutumba districts.

Museveni argued that it doesn't make sense for government to keep funds for projects that can wait, and leave people to die of hunger.
