Guards Shoot Suspect Dead in Jinja City

It is alleged that guards from Priority One Security Group shot the suspect following an alert from their colleagues monitoring the CCTV control room.
The Kiira Regional Police has confirmed the unfortunate demise of a person named Reagan, who was shot while allegedly stealing scrap at the Abyssinia Group of Companies in Masese Ward in Jinja City Northern Division.  It is alleged that guards from Priority One Security Group shot the suspect following an alert from their colleagues monitoring the CCTV control room.

The surveillance team observed four people collecting scrap materials and depositing them in sacks. The deceased was transferred to the Jinja Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination as police investigations into the incident continue.

According to accounts, the security guards encircled the warehouse and instructed all suspects to surrender, but they refused to comply. Despite firing warning shots, the suspects attempted to flee through the emergency exit towards the main gate, resulting in Reagan being shot in the abdomen, leading to his demise.

While two suspects managed to escape, 24-year-old John Buwale was apprehended and is presently in custody at the Jinja Central Police Station. Buwale claims to have been hired to transport goods from the warehouse to a truck bound for blacksmith smelters in Jinja City.

James Mubi, the Kiira Regional Police spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying that detectives are stationed at the crime scene to gather crucial evidence.
