The Head Teacher of St. Francis Buluba, Day and boarding primary school in Buluba village, Mayuge district has been accused of misusing Universal Primary Education-UPE funds.

O9n Saturday parents who turned up to receive their children’s report cards turned rowdy accusing William Sande of failing to account for the funds.

They tasked Sande to either account for the alleged missing funds or resign from his office.

Led by the chairperson of the school management committee, Gideon Ngobi, the parents allege that, pupils eat one meal a day yet UPE funds are meant to cater for school needs.

Ngobi says that the school is highly indebted by food suppliers who have never been paid since the beginning of second term. He further stresses that Mayuge district local government should task Sande to account for the missing funds.

But Sande blames his woes on detractors who are instigating the parents.

“I requested the district police commander to provide us with security after the situation went rowdy, and I am reliably informed that my detractors are fuelling these protests,” he says.
