Heavy rains have destroyed Teboke Primary School in Chegere Sub
County, Apac District.
The rains that started on Wednesday swept away the roof of three
classes, the library and store.
Richard Owani, the school headteacher says that 270 pupils in P3, P.4 and P.5 have
been sent back home because the rains have greatly damaged the school's
buildings.

The rains also washed away many gardens of maize, simsim, cassava and sweet
potatoes.
Harriet Akello, a resident of Teboke trading centre says that about
two acres of her simsim has been destroyed by the heavy downpour.
David Odora, the area district councillor says that the heavy rains devastated
about 14 villages in Chegere Sub County.
Some of the affected villages include Abolo A and B, Adyang A and B, Angur,
Akaidebe, Okarowok, Adula A and B, Adwongmon A and B, all in Teboke
parish.
