Hoima Creditors Petition Minister over Fraud

A group of people who were defrauded by the defunct Hoima Support Uganda finance Savings and corporative organization have petitioned the Second deputy prime minister and Minister for public service, Henry Muganwa Kajura, seeking his intervention to help them recover their money.
During a stormy meeting held at Hoima Boma grounds over the weekend, the aggrieved group complained that the organization swindled their money late last year and no effort has been made to help them recover their money.
They also claimed that their efforts to recover their monies have been thwarted by some officials who intimidate them into silence.
Support Uganda Finance SACCO Hoima branch, closed business in October last year, going away with more than 17 million shillings in depositor's money.
Represented by the Hoima district NRM Secretary general, David Maxwell Kaboyo, the Minister told the aggrieved clients that he has written to the Micro Finance state Minister, Salim Saleh about the matter.
