The Ministry of Health has delivered 297,000 face masks to Hoima
District. The Masks were delivered to the COVID-19 district Taskforce on
Tuesday at the District Headquarters in Kasingo.
They will be distributed to communities in the 464 villages of Hoima district
in the sub-counties of Kigorobya, Kitoba, Bombo, Buhanika, Kyabigambire,
Buseruka, Kapapi, Buraru, Kijongo, Kisukuma, Kabaale and Kiganja.
Samuel Kisembo, the Hoima Resident District Commissioner says that the task force
will start the distribution of the masks to the communities on Thursday.

Kisembo warned the Sub-county, Parish and village leaders against selling
the masks to members of the public saying they are free of charge.

Since March, at least 10 COVID-19 Patients from Adjumani,
Kiryandongo, Hoima, Bullisa and Kyankwanzi have been treated from the Hoima
Regional Referral Hospital COVID-19 Treatment Unit.
