Hoima Schools in Trouble for Announcing Fake PLE Results

Baingana has directed the implicated schools to withdraw the announcements they have placed on different radio stations before the municipality cracks on them.

Education Authorities in Hoima municipality are investigating schools accused of announcing fake Primary Leaving Examinations- PLE results.

 

Johnson Kusiima Baingana, the Principal Education Officer Hoima Municipality told URN on Tuesday morning that although some schools didn't register any candidate in Division one, they have gone ahead to announce fake results that their candidates emerged in division one.

 

Baingana has directed the implicated schools to withdraw the announcements they have placed on different radio stations before the municipality cracks on them.

 

The Education officer, who declined to mention the implicated schools, said the Municipal Education department is considering revoking their licenses upon completion of their Investigations.

He says they are already collection information from the announcements to compare it with what the schools got. Baingana warns parents to be conscious about those schools because their only intention is to con them.

 

Speaking about the overall performance of candidates in the municipality, Baingana said there an improvement in the number of candidates who passed in Division 1 in 2018 compared to 2017.
