The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has said that he does not consider carrying out revenge on those that have mistreated him since he announced he will contest for the presidency.

Kyagulanyi was on Thursday campaigning at San Siro playground in Kihiihi town council, Kanungu district.  Kyagulanyi had booked Kihihi High school playground but police and army blocked and ordered him to hold the rally at San Siro.

Kyagulanyi says that the moment he announced that he will run for the presidency, security personnel have blocked his campaign rallies and harassed his supporters.

Kyagulanyi also says that security has blocked him from campaigning in 33 districts since last month when he started campigns. He says that declaring to contest for the presidency is a fundamental right that does not deserve mistreatment from security personnel.

Kyagulanyi, however, says that there is no reason to carry revenge on those who are mistreating him because they are allegedly acting on orders from the incumbent President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Kyagulanyi says that he cherishes promoting peace and love than Museveni who likes violence.

Kyagulanyi also told residents that he will prioritize the purchasing of ambulances than police patrol vehicles.
