Incumbents in Gomba District Win NRM Party Primaries

The District NRM returning officer Paddy Ssempijja declared Emmanuel Kalule Sengo, Robinah Rwakoojo and Sylvia Nayebare winners.
All incumbent Members of Parliament in Gomba District registered victory in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primaries.

The District NRM returning officer Paddy Ssempijja declared Emmanuel Kalule Sengo, Robinah Rwakoojo and Sylvia Nayebare winners.

Ssengo defeated Rose Najjemba Mbabaali with 8,550 votes against Mbabaali’s 5,126 votes for the Gomba East seat.

Sylvia Nayebare defeated Nakato Kyabangi with 32,528 votes against 7,343 votes for Gomba Woman seat. Kyabangi protested the poll results and said that she will contest on the National Unity Platform (NUP) party ticket in next year’s general elections.

Robinah Rwakoojo beat five others to win Gombe West primaries. She polled 28,237 votes while Eng. Wilberforce Kaggwa garnered 6,833 votes.
