Monday marked the culmination of a weekend of celebrations to mark the 60th birthday of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.

Born April 13, 1955, he has reigned as the 36th Kabaka (King) of Buganda Kingdom since July 24, 1993.

Chief among celebrations to mark this momentous birthday was a charity run organized on Saturday, April 11, 2015. In addition to raising awareness for the fight against Fistula, Buganda Kingdom Premier Charles Peter Mayiga said it was to help the subjects appreciate the importance of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
