Kabaka Mutebi Condemns Children Murders

The Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has expressed concern over the continued murders of children within the Kingdom.

Kabaka Mutebi who was today opening the 23rd sitting of the Buganda Lukiiko at Bulange-Mengo demanded for immediate end child sacrifice.

He noted that these killings are against the Buganda culture and norms calling upon the Buganda Chiefs to join hands with other leaders and police to fight the killings.

Kabaka Mutebi noted that these murders have  instilled  fear among parents to the extent that they cannot let their children play like it was in the past. He said the children are also growing in an environment of fear.

The Kabaka further condemned human trafficking where mostly female youth have fallen victims and taken to foreign countries where they end up in slavery and other abuses.

He advised youth to always consult with the relevant authorities before seeking job opportunities in other countries.

Kabaka Mutebi also advised that efforts seeking to eradicate poverty among youth within the country should be further strengthened.
