Kabale Muslims Struggle to Complete Khadi’s Accommodation

Kabale district Muslim Community is struggling to raise 52 million Shillings to complete District Khadi’s accommodation.

Speaking on Thursday during Eid Al-Fitr celebrations at Kirigime mosque in Kabale municipality, Hajji Issa Tindyebwa, Kabale Muslim District Council Chairperson says that they started construction of  the 98 million Shilling house to accommodate the district Kadhi at Kirigime county headquarters in Southern division, Kabale municipality.

Tindyebwa however says that the completion hit a dead-end due to lack of funds.

According to Tindyebwa, since 2019, they have managed to raise 46 million Shillings. He says that the house is now stuck at the roofing stage.

Sheik Ibrahim Byomuhangi, the County Sheikh for Ndorwa and Kabale Municipality says that because the house completion hit a snag due to lack of funds, the incumbent district Khadhi, Sheik Khabu Lule is forced to rent in Rushaki.  

Byomuhangi is calling for financial help from good Samaritans to have the house complete because the Muslim community lives in shame to see the district khadi renting.

Preaching during celebrations, Byomuhangi called upon the President, Yoweri Museveni to use this term of office in awarding more Muslim leaders with ministerial posts so that they also enjoy the national cake, the way leaders affiliated to other religious institutions are enjoying.
