The Kagoma County Forum for Democratic Change-FDC Youth Chairperson, Martin Ikuute has been thrown out of the party meeting for allegedly mobilizing for Muntu's new formation.

Ikuute was ejected from the party meeting dubbed FDC Busoga Assembly 2019 that was held at Mother Kevin hall in Iganga district on Sunday.

The angry FDC party members at the meeting chaired by the FDC Party President, Patrick Amuriat Oboi accused Ikuute of mobilizing youths to abandon the party in favor of Muntu's new formation.

There is cold blood between the FDC party leadership and the former party president, General Mugisha Muntu who decided to break away with some members to start a new political party.

Abubaker Maganda, the Jinja District FDC Party Chairperson defended Ikuute's ejection from the meeting, saying he officially denounced his membership.

Cue out…from the party,”

Ikuute blamed his humiliation on the party leadership insisting that he is a member of FDC and the action against him was uncalled for.

The FDC Party President, Patrick Amuriat Oboi told journalist shortly after the meeting that it was wrong for Ikuute to intrude into the assembly if he quit the party.

However, some FDC party leaders such as Steven Abedi, the Iganga District FDC General Secretary, say the approach of naming and shaming defectors is damaging the party's public image. He also wants the party leadership to reconcile with Paul Mwiru, the Jinja East Municipality MP and his Bugweri county counterpart, Abdul Katuntu other than branding them traitors for the good of the party.

James Musonge, the acting Bugweri County FDC chairperson cautions party members against using foul language against defectors, saying it is threatening the existence of the party.
