Asiimwe Mbaasa is nursing injuries she sustained in a nasty accident while on
her campaign trail on Tuesday evening.
Asiimwe was returning
from Kinaaba Sub County when the car she was traveling on board to ascend a
steep hill and rolled back several times. She sustained and a fractured arm and
several other injuries and was rushed to Makiro health center III in Kanungu
town council by well-wishers.
Speaking our
reporter on her sick be at Makiro health center III, Asiimwe blamed the
accident on bad roads in the districts. She told our reporter that she has
decided to suspend her campaign drive until she bounces back on her feet.
Asiimwe was
still waiting for a referral letter to a bigger health facility for better management by
the time of filing this story. Several roads in Kanungu district are currently
unmotorable because of the heavy rains that have been pounding the district for
the last four months.
