Anatori Giriyitma 93, a resident of Kachungiro village in Kinogozi
parish Buhimba sub-county Kikuube district claims that he acquired the contested land measuring 250 hectares, where has been
staying with his family in the 1940s.
He accuses pastor
Kyebambe, who is related to the Omukama
of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom of using his position to connive with Hoima district land board officials to cancel his title.
Giriyitma explains that pastor Kyebambe started claiming ownership of his land in 2013.
He says despite owning a farm on the contested land, Kyebambe used police to harass his
family and evicted them from their land.

Kyebambe has denied the accusation of land grabbing, saying that he acquired the land legally in 2013 and processed a title the same year.
According to Kyebambe, the Omukama of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom Dr. Solomon Iguru
Gafabusa donated to him the contested land.
He says that in 2013,
Giriyitma dragged him to the Hoima
Chief Magistrate’s court but lost the suit.
