Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) Matthias Muhindo, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kikyuusa Police Station in Luwero district has petitioned Kikyuusa Town Council authorities over the dilapidated structure hosting the station.

The five roomed structure has developed cracks, which has triggered fears among police officers. It’s against this background that Muhindo has sought intervention from Kikyuusa Town Council authorities and Town Clerk.

Tabling his concerns in a meeting in Kikyusa town council, Muhindo asked the authorities to help them and lobby organizations, well-wishers or any other funders to either refurbish the current premise or build new structures.

In an interview with URN on who is supposed to ensure that the police force operates under good and not life-threatening structures, Isah Ssemwogerere, the Savannah Regional Police publicist, said “The Regional Police Commander (RPC) is the starting point. He or she communicates with both the Top and bottom in case of anything to do with police renovation.”
