Kisozi Seed School Punished for Fielding Ineligible Player in Copa Coca -Cola Tournament

This follows a petition filed by Uganda Martyrs Hugh School, which implicated three players of Kisozi seed School David Ssemukaro, Emmanuel Ngabonziza and Geoffrey Mivule, who are not students of the school.

Kisozi Seed Secondary School has been disqualified from the Copa Coca Cola football tournament for fielding ineligible players.

This follows a petition filed by Uganda Martyrs High School, which implicated three players of Kisozi Seed School David Ssemukaro, Emmanuel Ngabonziza and Geoffrey Mivule, who are not students of the school.

The petition further states that; Ssemukaro presented a primary seven result slip of 2013 with registration number; 007906/28 which belongs to Edith Namala while Ngabonziza’s index number; 007906/024 belongs to Sylvia Nakachwa.

Also, Mivule is faulted of presenting his date of birth as 01st, June 2000 whereas the same person is registered as Geoffrey Nvule born on 26th, December 1999 under Masajja united with FUFA fourth division license number (N991226053).

The two teams are both in group D. Kisozi had garnered 13 points in the second place ahead of Standard high who in the third with 11 points. 

However, Fred Balenzi, a member of the tournament’s technical committee says that Standard High will replace Kisozi in today’s round of 16 matches.

“Our committee has found Kisozi seed guilty of fielding illegal players and Standard high will replace them in the round of 16,” he says.

Balenzi further says that the committee will continue screening players to eliminate illegal players.

Standard high coach, Jimmy Mukibi says that the tournament officials are not doing their best to eliminate illegal players.
