construction of the headquarters for Inomo Sub County in Kwania district has
suffered a setback due to a bitter land wrangle. The sub-county lost its headquarters last
year following the creation of Inomo Town Council.
The Town Council took over the Sub County
headquarters prompting the Sub County leadership to look for land elsewhere.
Although, the government disbursed Shillings 50 million as a startup fund for
the establishment of the new administrative unit, the Sub County leaders have
failed to secure land to host the headquarters.
September 2020, the sub-county authorities resolved to construct the sub-county
headquarters on part of the 15-acre piece land hosting Aninolal Farm in Abedmot
parish. This triggered protests led by 25-year-old Junior Anger, a resident of
Abedober Village, saying the land in question belongs to his family and the
matter is before Aduku Grade I Magistrate Court.
