Madi West Nile Diocese to Spend Over UGX 50 Million on Golden Jubilee Celebrations

The Madi West Nile Diocese has earmarked over Ugx 50 million to commemorate its 50 years of existence climaxing on December 29th 2019 at the Diocesan headquarters in Mvara.

The budget meant to cater for over 1000 invited guests is expected to be realized from contributions from Christians in the Parishes and Archdeaconries of the diocese.

According to Nasser Godfrey, the Diocesan Secretary Madi W. Nile Diocese there is value in the celebrations because the diocese has come a long way and a lot has been achieved warranting such a celebration.

Cue out; two hundred clergy…." //  Charles Collins Andaku, the Bishop Madi W. Nile Diocese told URN that he is humbled to preside over the Golden Jubilee celebrations after successfully presiding over the Centenary celebrations earlier. According to him God has appointed him to preside over the two occasions, the first in the history of the diocese.

Cue out; to work for him…." //  The Celebrations will be held under the Theme: “Stop and Review everything consider the goodness of the Lord and turn to his ideals will and purpose.” Madi W. Nile diocese currently has 12 Archdeaconries, 133 Parishes and over 700,000 Christians, over 130 learning institutions which have grown over time.

The Diocese of Madi West Nile was curved out of the greater northern Uganda in 1969 with the late Silvanus Wani as its first Bishop.
