Makerere University is stuck with 631 transcripts for students who graduated during the 65th and 66th graduation. Alfred Masikye Namoah, the Makerere University Academic Registrar, says they are still waiting for the students to pick their transcripts.
Makerere University Management decided to decentralize the issuance of transcripts to the respective university colleges in October this year. The academic registrar was tasked to develop the modalities for implementation of the decision.
According Masikye, the university has since recorded uncollected transcripts from the 2015 academic year to date. Masikye says the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS) has the highest number of uncollected transcripts totaling to 167, followed by the College of Computing and Information Sciences (COCIS) with 104, College of Business and Management Sciences (CoBAMS) follows with 96 while College of Education and External Studies (CEES) has 93 unclaimed transcripts.
Others are College of Veterinary Medicine Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB) has 53 transcripts, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) 51, College of Engineering 41, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) 11, College of Health Sciences (MakCHS) 9 while College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES) has six. Masikye says the university hasn't completed compiling the number of uncollected transcripts for the 67th graduation, arguing that students are still picking.

According to Masikye, students will pick their transcripts from their respective colleges beginning with next year's graduation.
