High Life Pub
A man has died in High Life Pub located along Kazooba Road in Kabale municipality. The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old John Mutamurugaho, a resident of Rwamugura cell in Hamurwa Sub County in Rubanda district.
The late Mutamurugaho has been working as a private security guard in Ntungamo municipality. The deceased's body was found lying on the floor of the room at High Life Pub.
Dick Ahimbisibwe, the Proprietor of High Life Pub, says the deceased checked into the room last evening. He however, says his employees tried to wake up the deceased at around 10:30am this morning in vain.
According to Ahimbisisbwe, left with no option the employees decided to break the door of the room only to find the deceased's lifeless body lying on the floor. He says the deceased first took some beers in the pub before he left to sleep at around 11pm on Monday night.
Ely Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, says they have taken the deceased's body to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem to establish the cause of death.
Initially, the Pub management had failed to identify the deceased since they couldn't find any identification documents on his body. Maate faulted the Pub management for accommodating a person without recording his identity and place of origin.
