Unknown assailants have hacked a man to death in Kibaale District.

as Isaac Akanyijuka 22, a resident of Kijungu village, Lwega parish, Bubango
sub-county.
The incident happened in the wee hours of
Thursday at around 1 a.m.
Akanyijuka was in a bar in Lwega
village with his colleagues when he was attacked by three Panga-wielding men. The assailants reportedly hacked
him on the head and the right hand leaving him unconscious as his friends fled.
Charles Birungi, a resident
explains that they heard Akanyijuka screaming for help and rushed, only to
find him lying unconscious in a pool of blood. They rushed him to EMESCO
Medical Center where he died.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine
region police spokesperson says, investigations into the matter have commenced.
The
postmortem report indicated that the deceased succumbed to over bleeding that
resulted from the injuries inflicted on him by his attackers.
