Inzu Ya Masaba to Set Up Burial Grounds for Cultural Leaders

According to Nagimesi, the death of Bob Mushikori the II outgoing cultural leader has been an eye-opener. He adds that in the institution’s constitution they had not included the burial grounds where cultural leaders will be buried.

The Inzu Ya Masaba cultural institution is to set up burial grounds place for cultural leaders at the Mutoto cultural site. This was revealed by Francis Nagimesi the prime minister of Masaba cultural institution.

 According to Nagimesi, the death of Bob Mushikori the II outgoing cultural leader has been an eye-opener. He adds that in the institution’s constitution they had not included the burial grounds where cultural leaders will be buried.

Mushikori who died two weeks ago will be laid to rest at his home in Kisabasi village Bududa Sub County in Bududa district.

Nagemesi also says that after the burial of Mushikori, the cultural council will convene immediately and include Mutoto cultural site as a place of burying subsequent Masaba cultural leaders. He adds that the burial grounds will improve on tourism in  Bugisu.

Meanwhile on Saturday flags in Bugisu region started flying at half-mast as the cultural institution mourns the death of Mushikori.

The flags will fly at half-mast across the region for seven days up to January 30th when Mushikori will be laid to rest.

Francis Nagimesi the Prime Minister of Masaba Cultural Institution says that by flying at half-mast, the region will be showing respect to Mushikori.

Suleiman Ogajo the outgoing RDC of Mbale urged the two factions of the Masaba cultural institution to put their differences aside as they mourn the death of Mushikori.
