Mbale Covid-19 Task Force Rallies Business Community for Support

The call by the taskforce comes at a time when the task force is struggling to fuel emergency vehicles and feeding the people kept under quarantine.

Mbale district covid-19 task force has asked the business community for support to boost the fight against covid-19.

The task force chaired by the Mbale Resident District Commissioner on Monday met the business community at the Municipal chambers and requested for donations.

The call by the task force comes at a time when the task force is struggling to fuel emergency vehicles and feeding people under quarantine.

Stella Kisoro Abigail, the Assistant District Health Officer in Charge of Maternal asked the business community to give back to their customers since their health means a lot to their businesses. Abigail requested the task force to equip the isolation centre.

Ogajo Sulaiman Barasa, the Resident District Commissioner Mbale district says that they also want donations to help communities that have been affected by the Covid19 lockdown.

Hussein Kamadi Wepukhulu, the vice-chairperson of Mbale Industrial Area Maize Millers Association rallied his colleagues to extend a helping hand to the vulnerable people.

John Wamulugwa, of Generous Trading and Investments, said that the only contribution the business community can make is to donate towards the fight to help the professionals combat the spread of the disease.
