The Minister for general Duties in the office of the Prime Minister, Mary Karoro Okurut has said that the public need to help security with all the information that can lead to the arrest of people who killed police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
Unknown assailants on Friday morning gunned down the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Kaweesi shortly after,leaving his home in Kulambiro, a Kampala suburb. He was killed together with his driver Godfrey Mambewa and body guard Kenneth Erau.
Kaweesi has been combining the roles of Police Spokesperson and Director of Human Resource Development.
Addressing journalists on Saturday evening in Kabale town, Karoro said that the public needs to help and provide all necessary information to security to help with the investigations.
Karoro says that such incidents have remained in the country because locals fail to provide vital information to security. She said the death of Kawesi is a great loss to the country.
